Picked up these two hens advertised as reds. Once I got there the guy said he thought one was a brown. What does everyone think?

Is the bottom a dark check ash red pied? Top would be the brown, does seem to have some bleached feathers but not positive. Could try and take better pics of that would help anyone?

Very hard to tell in the dark photos but both look like red.

What about this one? Ash red mimic (indigo), ash red or recessive red?
